The owner is very friendly and is very knowledgeable about everything avian. After I bought one of his budgies he offered tips to help me train him and answered any questions I had. Additionally, he was able to help my Cockatoo be able to eat much better by trimming his beak every couple of weeks. My bird used to be scissor beaked but now he looks much better. The owner and staff care very much about their birds and really love their job, I highly recommend going here if you're able.

Okay, so I was going to buy a green cheek conure from another breeder but they ended up selling him the day before so I came here. I bought the bird, asked the gender, and the owner Walt literally swung a pendulum over the birds head to determine the gender. Then, he told me false facts about what the bird can or cant eat which then I proved false after 5 seconds of research on the internet. The bird was not doing well on what the owner fed him and was very skinny and small. Now he is the average size and has been MUCH more friendly
Walt, who I believe is the owner of the store, is a great guy! My wife and I walked into this smallish store while scouting for a parrot having come down from NYC. Bird Lover's Paradise compensates for their size by the variety of birds they have and the way Walt was able to connect with us and walk us through the potential bird that would want based on our lifestyle and NYC apartment. The place was a very close second on our list and we may have well bought from this place if circumstances were different (they were closed on Sunday, the next day, for a Sunday fair they open shop at and we were heading back to the city Sunday) and because our other option had a bird we liked old enough to be handed over immediately. Regardless of that I would highly recommend Bird Lovers Paradise to anyone and everyone.
